At Signature Leather, we are fortunate to continue working from patterns and designs passed down through generations of traditional glove makers — including styles inspired by legendary British racing driver Les Leston.

Leston’s remarkable motorsport career saw him compete alongside names such as Stirling Moss and Peter Collins, achieving victories in Formula Three, British Saloon Car racing and the Monte Carlo Rally. His preferred crochet-backed driving glove design remains an enduring classic and continues to inspire this collection today.

Featuring a traditional crochet cotton back combined with premium leather palms, the Crochet Driving Glove offers exceptional comfort, breathability and feel behind the wheel. Customers may also choose the optional leather fingertip reinforcement, inspired by Les Leston’s original specification, for a more period-correct motorsport appearance.

A wide selection of bespoke colour combinations is available, allowing each pair to be tailored to your car, rally attire or personal style. Standard colours include Mocca, Cognac, Navy, Grey, White and Black, alongside additional bespoke leather options.

Each pair is finished with an exclusive HERO-ERA tag, created especially for our collection.
