Tunnel Vision 12 – Original Helmet Artwork
Tunnel Vision 12 is a striking continuation of an ongoing series exploring the visual drama and intensity of high-speed driving through a tunnel. Hand-cut vinyl is applied directly to a motorcycle crash helmet, transforming its curved surface into a vivid study of light, motion, and reflection. The artwork reimagines the distorted reflections that sweep across the helmet as it moves at speed, with every highlight and shadow exaggerated to create a bold, graphic sense of movement.
No.12 in the series, the piece is built from many hundreds of individually hand-cut colored vinyl shapes, carefully assembled in a collage-like, jigsaw-style process across the surface of the helmet. The result is both highly intricate and visually immediate, capturing the sensation of speed through sharp contrasts, glowing light trails, and flowing reflections. Finished with a heavy gloss lacquer, the completed artwork has a depth and intensity that perfectly enhances the dynamic energy of the design.
A distinctive fusion of craftsmanship, motion, and automotive-inspired visual storytelling, this piece is a remarkable example of hand-cut vinyl art applied in three-dimensional form.
