Classic Oils 2-Year Blue Anti-Freeze – Heritage Engine Coolant
Classic Oils 2-Year Blue Anti-Freeze is a traditional ethylene glycol-based coolant specially developed for classic, vintage, and veteran vehicles. Formulated with Inorganic Acid Technology (IAT), it is designed specifically to meet the needs of older cooling systems where modern coolant chemistries may be unsuitable.
Unlike many modern Organic Acid Technology (OAT) coolants—often identifiable by red, pink, or orange colouring—this blue formulation is engineered to be compatible with historic engine materials and construction methods. It provides balanced corrosion protection across mixed-metal systems, making it ideal for heritage vehicles.
IAT chemistry offers targeted protection through nitrites and nitrates for iron and steel components, silicates and phosphates for aluminium protection, molybdates for lead solder safeguarding, and borates to help control acidity. This ensures long-term system stability and corrosion resistance across a wide range of classic engine types.
Suitable for both pumped and thermosyphon cooling systems, it delivers reliable year-round protection and will not evaporate in use. It is also non-flammable for added safety.
